The Make-A-Wish Foundation had planned to grant a wish to little 4 year old Emily last June. All reservations had been made-every t crossed and every i had been dotted. Emily went back to visit the doctor for one more check up before setting out on her big adventure to meet Tinker Bell, her favorite, and all the princesses at Disney World. However, overnight, her little smile was turned upside down, as was her life. The doctor said her trip would have to wait.

After 6 long months of more surgery, chemo, radiation, poking, prodding, nasty medicine, and hospital stays away from home, Emily’s wish has finally come true. The Hinsley family had time together as a family again. Emily got to meet all the characters she had always dreamed of meeting. Her mom, Michelle, said, “The best thing about Emily’s wish for her was that for a whole week, she was actually able to forget about her cancer – no cancer, no bills, and just watch her smile and have a great time! This trip was amazing, wonderful, incredible, fun, relaxing, energizing, beautiful, heart warming, and super just a few words off the top of my head.” The trip is now over, but the memories will last a life-time.
